Elizabeth Patrician is a Bay Area native who specializes in oil painting, printmaking, and being a maker of many things.

Her work focuses on reclaiming the female gaze through bold eye contact that is direct and challenging where classical images are passive, and mixing a looser, more emotional style of portraiture with detailed depictions of animals reminiscent of scientific illustration. Other themes include mythological imagery and a fascination with the movement of forms within a body of water...and also skulls.
